My rating: 4 of 5 stars
In “Owned” we pick back up, more or less, where Property of the Mountain Man concluded. With this installment we get to know our next Barnett brother, the handsome of _____, Huck. Our hero appeared to be laidback when we met him in the first book. It turns out he’s taken a page from Beau’s book and, he too, is a quintessential steamroller immediately upon meeting his woman, Cora.
Cora is a fun, independent, if not jaded young woman who’s been in a loveless relationship with a tool who’s not ready to let go. There’s a bit of push and pull drama in this one, but Owned by the Mountain Man is still a fun, super steamy read. While part of The Montana Mountain Men series, it could likely be read as a standalone. But why would you want to? These Barnett brothers are the real OTT jealous/possessive alphahole deal.
