Review: The Ritual

The Ritual The Ritual by Shantel Tessier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What. a. ride! There were so many twists and turns, back room dealings, and contrived situations that it made my head spin in the best way possible! I’ve read more books this year than any year prior and The Ritual was unquestionably one of the best!

The Ritual is the story of Ryat and Blakely, students at Barrington University, a prestigious college in Pennsylvania. Barrington is home to an exclusive, secret society, the Lords, that readies it’s male membership to become the next generation of powerful, if untouchable, elite leaders across the country.

Despite the Lordship being his birthright, Ryat must still undergo initiation, and a number of trials and tribulations, all designed to illustrate his commitment and loyalty to the brotherhood. In a Lord’s senior year, they are rewarded for their devotion with a Chosen. Enter Blakely.

I vow. You vow. We vow.

Blakely too must participate in a ritual and once we cross the threshold at the House of Lords, things get twisty and don’t right themselves until the very end!!

This book literally has it all: Lies. Revenge. Manipulation. Murder. Suspense. Steam.

The steam.
