My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Whatever I expected in this final installment of the Malice Mafia trilogy, this wasn’t it; it was so much more! It was soul-crushing, it was full-circle growth, it was unexpectedly sweet and funny, it was violent, it was sexy, it was raw. In short, it was everything!
“No matter what happens, we will be here for you, Juliet. I picked up my pieces so that I could help you pick up yours, okay? You aren’t alone.”
The conclusion to the Malice Mafia series, Grudge, had so many curveballs that I’m not even sure I'm done processing let alone able to string together sentences coherently.
There’s nonstop action and well-paced character growth, not to mention Anthony’s signature humor which elicit laugh-out-loud moments! This installment focused far more on growth and resolution than smex, but there were still hot-as-hell scenes. Much like I said with the other two books in the series, I loved it. All of it and I’m sad to say goodbye to the Civellas.
