My rating: 4 of 5 stars
We meet Kostya and Anastasia at the ages of 15 and 13, respectively.
A hulk of a boy, Kostya is forced, by his father, Ivan, to fight in an underground circuit. When Ivan becomes dissatisfied with his performance, he makes him enter the Bratva’s “training program,” leaving Ana behind without an explanation.
Ten years later, Ruin, a hardened and world-weary version of Kostya, emerges from shadows in his stead when Ana’s arranged marriage is announced.
“You are the only good thing in my life, the only thing that makes sense.”
Things hit next-level upon Kostya’s return and they never slow down. Corruption is a character-driven story with serious angst and HOTTT smexy times. There is still adequate action and angst to keep you engaged.
