Betrothed to the crowned prince of Citlali, Gavril Achlys, the Starblessed, Adara, is taken to Achlys Palace to fulfill her destiny.

Strong and feisty, Adara isn’t ready to accept her fate without a fight. Despite her discontent, she is, however, drawn to Evren Achlys, the bastard son of King Riven. Evren’s filthy mouth and their budding forbidden romance will draw you in and keep you captivated through the very last page. And let’s talk about that last page. WTAF?!?!?!  
 
Real talk: fantasy is not my go-to genre. And yet, I’m over here with a countdown clock waiting for A Kingdom of Blood and Betrayal because, is it November yet? Holly Renee has perfectly crafted a world with enough nuance to be enchanting without being overwhelming. I was lost within the pages as this world Holly has given us has all things: mystery and intrigue, angst and steam, and a myriad emotions. Without question, A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows will be living rent free for the foreseeable future.
