Opening up 20 years in the past when a 13-year old Calix Regas signs the agreement binding him to the, then-5-year old Thalia Karras.
When the six families, banish the whole of the Regas family from Philadelphia, Thalia’s marriage contract is rendered null and void.
The ensuing years are painful snapshots into the life of a mafia wife and, likewise, the torturous rebuilding of an empire.
Hades to her Persephone, Calix is as loving as he is bIôôdthirsty, hell bent on giving his Little One the retribution that will allow her emerge as a queen.
Dreams of the Deadly is the story of a multifaceted love that knows no bounds. It’s a blöödy tale of revenge and a no holds barred rise to power.
I loved Calix’s unrepentant obsession with Thalia and the way he was both a caretaker and demanding. Abused for years, yet never downtrodden, Thalia is the personification of a queen and won me over immediately. Seeing both Rafe and Matteo as Calix’s allies was the icing on the cake for this installment of the Massacred Dreams series.
