Review: Painted Scars

Painted Scars Painted Scars by Neva Altaj
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When his people begin to question his ability to rule, 35-year-old Roman Petrov must find a way to quell the mounting discontent.

A perfect opportunity to suppress the rumors presents itself in the form of a quirky artist. The devastatingly handsome pakhan approaches the arrangement with the free-spirited pixie as he would any business deal. Yet, Roman has no idea he’s met his match with Nina Grey.

A fairly typical mafia romance, but with atypical main characters.

Note: I know the author has come under fire as of late. However, I agreed to read the first three books prior to learning of the accusations and have fulfilled my obligation.
